If you know me, you know I love Rachel Harris books. There's something about how she builds up the characters and story that grips me from the start and makes me want to read more. The Nanny Arrangement is not an exception to this.
While this book is the second in the Country Blues series, you don't have to read the previous one to understand. For those who follow the series (and her previous one), is great to see the characters we love again make apearences and add their unique personalities to the story.
Hannah is shy and had a complicated childhood due to a stutter. So when she meets the new boy in town she befriends him to start new with someone who never made fun of her. Years later, Hannah has grown into an independent confident woman and she's ready to fight for what she wants.
Deacon is a single father. The hard and silent bad boy of the band. He feels the weight of the world is on his shoulders and he can't dissappoint anyone.
The two of them make a unique pair. Hannah is soft where Deacon is hard. They've known each other or so long that they are in complete sync. I loved the balance between laughs, tears and tense moments. Rachel Harris knows how to keep the reader engaged in the story and deliver an incredible time.
The Nanny Arrangement is a beautiful friends to lovers story, complete with tears, funny moments, and grand gestures. If you're looking for a sweet weekend read, this book is for you.
