Welcome to the Release Week Blitz for

Eyes on Me by Rachel Harris
presented by Entangled Teen!

Grab your copy today!

Look up the word “nerd” and you’ll find Lily Cooper’s picture. She’s got one goal: first stop valedictorian, next stop Harvard. Until a stint in the hospital from too much stress lands her in the last place a klutz like her ever expected to be: salsa dance lessons.

Look up the word “popular” and you’ll find Stone Torres’s picture. His life seems perfect—star of the football team, straight-A student, lots of friends. But his family is struggling to make ends meet, so if pitching in at the Torres dance studio helps, he’ll do it.

When Lily’s dad offers Stone extra cash to volunteer as Lily’s permanent dance partner, he can’t refuse. But with each dip and turn, each moment her hand is in his, his side job starts to feel all too real. But in dance, as in life, one wrong move and someone could get hurt.

Pan - Review

9:00 AM 0 Comments

Pan (Neverland #1) by Gina L. Maxwell

Kindle Edition
Published January 22nd 2019

From NYT and USA Today bestselling author, Gina L. Maxwell, comes a brand new series with a fresh twist on an old classic.

Once upon a time, in Neverland, North Carolina--I fell in love.

I was twelve when Peter first climbed up to my balcony.
Thirteen when I sneaked out to see him at the School for Lost Boys.
Seventeen when his touch made me fly,
And eighteen when his words made me cry.

We were magnetic, drawn to each other from that very first night, and what I thought would be forever. But when it came time for me to leave, he wouldn't come with, so I left town with a map for my future and a shattered heart.

Ten years later, I've returned to Neverland, hoping to find a man in place of the boy.

Peter was partially right, growing up is no fun. After quitting my fancy career that sucked the magic out of life, I'm now organizing the fundraiser of the year. In a move that could make or break the event and my new company, I've hired Peter, master mechanic and owner of LB Automotive, to help me pull this off--trusting him to rebuild a classic car for the auction that could help hundreds of foster kids in need.

I thought I was prepared, but the boy who refused to leave is now a man hell-bent on getting me to stay, and as sparks fly between us, that undeniable fire flares back to life, deeper and hotter than ever.

But that ripped body doesn't mean Peter's matured enough to make us or this event work, and not everyone in Neverland is happy about my return.

Not every wound heals.
Not every heart can be fixed.
Not every boy grows up.

And after all this time, the love we found might be lost to us again...this time, forever.

*Pan is an adult contemporary romance retelling of Peter Pan, complete with Wendy, Hook, Tink, and all the Lost Boys as sexy mechanics. There are no fantasy elements in this world, other than the "magic" that happens between the sheets. ;)

Get the Book:
Amazon

Ok so MAYBE I'm a little biased on this because I happen to have a BIG love for all things Petar Pan BUT Gina Maxwell has done a PERFECT job at giving us a great grown up story! And has the boy grown!

Peter grew up in foster care with boys and Tink. Wendy was their only scape, the only way in wich their torment was put aside for a while but they came from very different worlds and ultimately that was what kept them appart... until now.

I couldn't put this book down! The characters that we have grown to love are all there, and Gina has made them real, adults, unique in her way and still they keep their scence. Peter is this carefree guy that any girl would love to lose herself in for a while but he's still brave, a fighter and does everthing for the ones he loves.

Wendy is still the responsible woman you know she grew up to be. She plays by the rules with a wild streak.

This retelling is everything any fan would love form a retelling story. While there's no magic, the story keeps the right elements to be true and faithfull but still has a lot of surprises to keep the reader engaged and the story like new. Even if you are not a fan of these characters.

Pan is the story of starcrossed lovers. Young love that never dies and an epic love story that will keep you reading and glued to the pages.

I can't wait to see moe of the people from Neverland and what they are up to.

Hot as Hell - Review

9:00 AM 0 Comments

Hot as Hell by Vivian Wood

Kindle Edition, 535 pages
Published January 5th 2018

From Wall Street Journal & USA Today Bestseller Vivian Wood comes a sexy new STANDALONE romance!

To set a fire, you need a spark.

Lily and Cade always had one, but her brother -- Cade’s best friend -- kept the tinder damp. Besides, Cade’s a manwhore. When a man is that hot, someone’s always going to get burned. Lily should have learned her lesson the first time she touched fire, when he left town the morning after they finally hooked up.

Yet all these years later, the ember’s still smoldering.

She's working at the local bakery, in control of the heat... until he walks back into her life. Fresh from the wildfires of Montana, Cade’s lost everything he held dear, and the losses left scars. They soon find that more than ever, they are better together. Their love grows, quick and hot.

Despite what her brother might say, Cade needs what Lily gives him. But there’s no such thing as a controlled burn.

And every secret carries the risk of a backdraft.

This 65,000-word steamy romance is standalone, with NO cliffhangers!

Lily’s is working at a backery, happily making macaroons when her all time crush comes back into town. Cade is not just her crush though, he’s her brother’s best friend and completly off limits. Three years ago they had a one night stand and then he was gone, not just from her place but left town and she never heard of him.

Now he’s back and catching up on life with her brothers, and what is a girl supposed to do? Cade’s even more grown up, his job as a firefighter keeping his body in perfect shape and her brothers are so happy to have him back he’s always around.

Lily’s first instict is to run but fate keeps pushing them together and that one night years ago wasn’t enough to put her mind at ease. She wants more and their attraction is only getting stronger.

Cade lost everything on his last job, and now he’s stuck inside the firehouse until a shrink clears him to go out but the only thing that settles him is the one thing he can have. Lily’s untouchable and he can’t risk the only family he’s know, right?

I really enjoyed this one! Lily and Cade have lots of things in common and a easy going relationship but they are both scared of Lily’s brothers and what that might do to their fragile arragement. Hot as Hell is a sweet and steamy book with a dash of drama to keep things moving.
A great combination of second chances and secret affairs that mixes the high stakes of life with a forefighter.

I really hope this stand alone book has some spin offs because I’m dying to see Lily’s brothers go through finding their own girls.

~EXCERPT~

Evelyn finished her wine and set the empty glass next to her laptop. “Thanks for inviting me over. Surprisingly, I feel more relaxed here than I do at the office.”
Then stay.
“Glad you’re comfortable.”
Our eyes remained linked for a while, until I lowered mine to her full lips, swallowing hard as the memory of kissing them rushed me.
I blinked the vision away, wanting to respect Evelyn’s wishes and her job.
“More wine?” I offered, standing.
She shuddered a tad and looked at her empty glass. “No, um, I should get going.”
“Oh. All right.”
Please stay.
Evelyn closed her laptop, packing it away into her bag. I brought the empty glasses into the kitchen.
She stood as I walked back to the desk. “Thank you for dinner and for a different space to work.”
“You’re welcome.”
I could see apprehension within her fluttering eyes. She was more nervous than ever.
Evelyn gnawed at her bottom lip as her eyes slowly glanced over me. Then she squeezed them shut as if fighting back her emotions. I was tempted to step closer.
It’s okay. You don’t have to fight.
“I should go,” she said again, opening her eyes.
Please don’t leave, my mind shouted.
“Okay,” I said instead and walked her to the door.
She lifted her hand to open it, hesitated, but then opened it at last.
What was going on inside that head of hers?
Was she as conflicted as I was?
“See you tomorrow,” she said softly, barely meeting my gaze before she stepped out of my apartment.
“See you.”
Evelyn shut the door behind her.
A sigh of regret gushed from my lips. Seconds later, I turned to go shower, but urgent knocking made me halt in my steps. I spun around and quickly opened the door.
My brows shot up. “Evelyn?”

Letting You Go

9:00 AM 0 Comments

I met Luna Marshall when I was seventeen.
She was a force of nature that I wasn’t ready for.
She was gravity and I was caught in her pull—
Powerless while she held me in a world I was desperate to escape.

They say you never forget your first love.
I believe they’re right.
I’ll always remember the sound of her laughter.
The way she whispered my name when I touched her, and the taste of her on my lips.
I’ll remember everything.

Including the look of pain as I walked away.

Gavin

Luna Marshall.
The girl haunts me.
Has for years.
I watch as she stands over by the football bleachers laughing with her friends. Her voice is fucking… musical. It’s soft and sweet and it has a melody in it that somehow brings me peace.
We’re complete opposites.
She comes from one of the wealthiest families in Stone Lake. Her dad drives a fucking Caddy and her mom has a Lexus SUV. Her clothes are designer and last month she was voted homecoming queen. Krissy Hanes was pissed because she thought the title belonged to her. Normally seniors are always the queen, but Stone Lake allows juniors to run too. Luna is that popular.
Way out of my fucking league.
She is destined to marry the football quarterback or some shit. It’s a small town and that’s the way these things go.
Except, Luna doesn’t date.
She’s been asked out a lot. She’s been asked out by the football jock, the captain of the debate team, the basketball jock, the swim team—the entire male swim team. She’s been asked out and turned them all down.
She’s developed the nickname Icebox. The entire male population of our school jokes that if you can ever get your dick inside of her that she’ll freeze it off.
They’re idiots.
I don’t get that from her at all. I think she could burn you alive with her fire and there’s a big part of me that craves that heat, wants to tempt fate and take it from her.
She’s got long golden blonde hair—the complete opposite of what you would think given her name. It falls in these soft waves all the way down—the tips resting on the small of her back. Her eyes are green with flecks of brown in them and they sparkle when she laughs. Her lips are full and thick and I’d be a lying mo-fo if I said I didn’t fantasize about having them wrapped around my cock.
I’m seventeen. It’s a given that sex is pretty much all I think about and for me… sex is all about Luna Marshall. It’s just my bad luck that it’s the same for every damned male in our high school.
Even my own brother.
Atticus is standing near her even now. Sniffing around her, desperate for her attention and she gives it to him—at least more than she has any other male. Maybe that’s the one reason I haven’t made my move with her. The thing is, when she touches Atticus—like she’s doing right now—it’s not sexual, it’s not any different than she does with her friend Jules. Jules is hot too—also blonde and a rocking body—but, not in the same league as Luna.
Not even close.
Still, she laughs and talks with Atticus but there’s no sexual vibe there at all, at least coming from her. I know without a shadow of a doubt he’s got his eye on her.
Atticus and I have our own problems, which is fucked. When you have a family like we do, it’d be good to be close, to rely on one another.
We don’t.
Our mother hit the road when I was eight and Atticus was seven. My father is a bastard who holds down a day job—although a shitty one—and then comes home and burns his gut with whiskey every night. By the time he’s done he barely knows his own name, let alone ours.
I’m a junior in high school. I failed my freshman year and had to repeat it. I’m barely passing now. I hate school and Stone Lake, for that matter. I have plans to get out of this hellhole the minute I graduate. I’m doing it and not looking back. I have nothing holding me here, not even my brother. I wish we were close, but that’s not going to happen. He blames me for the way our father is. I blame our mother and that pisses him off even more.
Atticus and I are night and day and I don’t see that ever changing. It’s Friday and I haven’t spoken to him all week. I don’t figure that will change either.
Family means nothing. It’s not blood that binds you to someone. I don’t know much, but I’m smart enough to know it’s not blood. My father’s blood is running through my veins, for that matter, so is my mother’s. That definitely didn’t bind them to me in any lasting way.
Not one damn bit.
I’m getting out of here and I’m leaving Stone Lake completely behind.
When I do, I’ll have no regrets…
Except maybe that I didn’t get a taste of Luna Marshall before I left. Then again, that’s probably a good thing.
For both of us.

About One More Round

History doesn't have to repeat itself... or does it?

GIA
Life was on track, going great,
And I couldn't have been happier.
But then he walks back in,
The tall, dark, broody blast from my past,
The one that got away,
Or shall I say, the one I pushed away,

Now, he's pushing the boundaries,
Demanding answers,
Ready to bring the past to the present,
For a chance at a future.

SIMON
As a professional gamer,
I'm focused and detailed,
Weighing all of my options.
After she left, I was lost, shattered,
And thought it was game over,
For me, for us.

But when I see her again,
There's more at stake than just a game,
This time, I'm playing for keeps, ready for One More Round.

Excerpt

Copyright @ 2018 Lauren Helms

Against my better judgment, I stand and head for the kitchen under the guise of getting a drink. I open
the fridge, surreptitiously trying to get her attention.
I close the door with a bit more force than necessary. Nothing. So, I walk up to the sink next to her and
look out the window, too.
God, she smells good.
So damn good.
And she’s absolutely stunning. Her golden hair comes past her shoulders and falls in waves that make
me think she’s been at the beach all day, though I know she hasn’t. Her slightly rounded nose and
perfect pink lips are precisely how I remember them. But her dark-blue eyes always have a way of
rooting out people’s bullshit, which is what I’m certain will happen if she ever looks up at me.
I've done my best to keep a physical distance from her. I don't want to be too close, for fear that I will
reach out and touch her, like old times. She was always so close to me when we were kids.
I brush her arm as I lift the pop to my mouth and take a drink. This startles her, but it only takes a
second to regain her composure.
"What ya looking at?" I ask, not taking my eyes off the apartment building across the street.
"Oh, nothing. I was just thinking, I guess," she sighs as she moves the bowl in her hands back under
the running water.
"You guess? How do you not know?" I ask, using my same words from earlier, but in a gentler tone.
She looks at me this time, which is what I wanted. "Stop asking me questions if you always hate my
answers." She says it with a ghost of a smile.
Acting on its own, my shoulder bumps hers.
We've danced around each other for months. I haven't touched her since that first night we met again
as adults. I shook her hand because I was caught off guard. But today, we've touched twice. Where
are the walls I've built?
She looks up at me with a hint of something in her eyes that I can't quite figure out. Interest? Need?
Maybe longing.
"I'm just kidding, G." I smile at her. Something I haven't done toward her in a very long time. Yeah,
that look in her eyes is definitely longing.
She gives me a sad smile before turning to put the bowl on the drying rack. It isn't lost on me that
she's hand-washing the dishes instead of letting the dishwasher take care of them.
"I really do want to know what's got you staring out the window."
She eyes me. "Why?"
I give this some thought. Why do I want to know so bad? Why do I care?
"Because I care?" Maybe I shouldn't have asked. Yeah, I can see that was the wrong thing to say when
she snorts and tosses an eye roll my way. A laugh escapes her lips but there’s no humor in it.
"Yeah, you care. Since when Simon? You can't even look me in the eye. You don't care. So, don't
waste your breath," she spits out and starts shoving dishes in the dishwasher now, throwing all kinds
of temper around with the task.
"Jeesh. Chill, alright? I guess old habits die hard. I can still tell when something is wrong. We do have
a history. That won't ever change," I say, defending myself.
At this, she goes rigid. Ah-ha. Either bringing up the fact that we have a history or my telling her to
chill—which she hates—has stopped her in her tracks; I'm guessing it’s a little bit of both.
"Just leave me alone, Simon," she mutters.
"Is it your brother? Does he live here in Chicago? Are things better between the two of you or is he still
an asshole with problems?" I can't hold it in, I've got to know.
She puts the last cup in the washer and closes the door uncharacteristically slowly. She then wipes her
hands on the towel, lays it down, and slowly turns to me.
Murderous.
If looks could kill, I'd be six feet under. She steps a tad closer to me.
"You … do not get to ask about him. You do not get to bring him up. Ever. Do not ever speak about
him, or the past, to me or anyone." Her voice is so low it makes my skin prickle.
"Uh, OK." I gulp. This evil clone Gia is scary as shit.
She takes a step back, then turns to leave the kitchen.
Then as her words register, I realize.
"They don't know, do they?"
She stops. Looks over her shoulder at me. Instead of anger, guilt clouds her eyes.
"No," she says, and walks away.
