They say opposites attract, but this is just ridiculous.

Aubry Kaiser doesn’t like people—actually, that’s not right. She loathes people. With her crippling anxiety, there’s no way she can demo her favorite video game at a convention with five thousand other people. Maybe if she brings someone to act as a shield…

But the only person available is the sexy cowboy she can’t stand.

Quinn Baldwyn is in a mess of his own. He’s been dodging his wealthy family’s matchmaking attempts—and life advice—for years, but with his sister’s wedding on the horizon, he needs of a shield of his own.

He and Aubry can barely hold down a civil conversation, but in bed…fireworks. And the closer they get to Quinn’s sister’s wedding, the more he realizes that he might actually like Aubry.

Now it’s up to him to convince her she might actually like him, too.

Katee Robert pulls you in from the start. The opening pages leads us right to the problem: Quinn needs a date asap to his sister's wedding. Someone who knows there's nothing more than a date and someone who is willing to help him get his family off his back.
Aubry just needs someone to hold her together. She's a gamer like many others, comfortable alone and in her house but the opportunity to test a new game sends her to a convention...

When the two come toghether and Quinn offers a deal Aubry can't refuse. He will help her face her fears (and keep people away) and she will put his family to rest.

I enjoyed reading Aubry, she's a refreshing character that you get to know through the book. Between her upbringing and her anxiety, is not easy to fit in or trust someone but she's build this strong bickering person to protect herself.
Quinn is a great match for her. At first I tought he was going to be the broody type but I was pleasently surprised to see he was a great guy. He knows how to treat Aubry and is impossible not to fall for him.

The chemestry and bickering between both characters is fantastic. The way their personalities clash and come together was written very smoothly, showing how they try to keep the other apart and feeling the atraction.
This is a sweet love story with the right amount of steam and a well balanced humor. The switch from enemies to somewhat friends to lovers was good, it didn't felt rushed and the fact that they knew each other for some time made it easier to believe.

Overall, I really liked Fool Me Once and I can't wait to read the next books in the series!
