Someone To Love Blog Tour

4:30 AM 1 Comments

A fun holiday read that's far more naughty than it ever is nice.

What happens when two people who don’t believe in love happen to fall madly, deeply into the most beautiful relationship they could ever imagine? A train wreck.

Twenty-year old Kendall Jordan devises a seat of the pants plan to “play the player.”

When Kendall spots gorgeous Cruise Elton from across the room, something in her burns to have him. There’s only one problem; Cruise likes the ladies, a lot, and Kendall has never shared so much as a decent kiss with a guy.

Kendall has long since come to discover that love is an illusion that never lasts and Cruise couldn’t agree more. So when Kendall proposes that Cruise tutor her in becoming a female version of himself, Garrison Universities own manwhore, he’s more than happy to comply.

But when real feelings begin to emerge, and neither Kendall nor Cruise know how to classify them, everything they once thought they knew is redefined as they discover in one another, Someone to Love.

Ok let me start with WOW, OMG and I FREAKING LOVE IT.

By the cover you may get the picture that this is New Adult and pretty sexy. With a little bit more of sexy throw in just because Cruise, is to die for. Period.

Now, this book is a must read, you'll love it but we are afraid that Cruise Elton is so not available girls... he just made it to our book boyfriend list and we're not sharing him.

What first got me, was the writing style, and I'm talking about the very first sentence. Addison Moore's writing is lovely. Her description of the scenery is almost poetic, it goes perfectly with the book setting. Let me share the very first two paragraph with you:

It was that season in my life, the coming of age of the woman inside me that longed to know the secrets of the universe—those potent with lust and desire—the very thing that harnessed a sexual frenzy and drove humanity along on its erotic trembling wings.
I’ve always thought of love as a very sharp knife that held the promise of exquisite pain, never one that satisfied, never a theory you could nestle in, warm and safe, forever. Love was dangerous terrain. It was where you met your enemy and gutted them before you sacked their belongings, hitting the road long before the ink dried on the divorce papers—that’s what my mother taught me.

It starts during Christmas Eve and Kendall (A.K.A. Kenny) and Cruise game extends all the way to Valentines... Yup, best holidays for love, Ms. Moore covered them all!

Cruise is the campus playboy. Tall, Blond and Blue Eyed. The guy every girl wants under her tree to tell her she's been naughty this year... (And Santa delivered, my friends)

If I had to describe him in a sentence, I'd say: he's the guy who fell in love just to get his heartbroken by the biggest witch in town, so he decided he was going to get up close and personal with every girl around.

But he's so much more than a playboy, I mean he's got chains hanging from his bedpost and leashes on the kitchen... And still there's more to him. He's caring, and sweet, and in a way he just met his match in views of love.

Kendall is the new girl in town. She saw her mother go down the aisle and to the divorce attorney enough time to realized that love was on the same level than unicorns on the "I believe in it" scale. (Actually she compares it to Santa, but come on! He's real, we all know that!)

The book starts with Kendall at a frat party with no place to stay thanks to Pennington (Her mother's best friend's Son) and she's lucky enough to cross path with one Cruise Elton, who doesn't only offers a place to stay but personal classes on how to become a player.
That's a class at Garrison that any lady would take just because he's teaching it.

But just because they don't believe in Love, doesn't mean it doesn't exist. And when things start to turn real they don't know how to deal with it.

The secondary characters really add to the story. From Cruise best friend who lives vicariously through his nightly escapades, to his own girlfriend and Kendall's friend, Lauren. Even Cruise little sister is a character that I enjoyed reading about.

The story catches you from the start. Kendall and Cruise have so many innuendos and half truths in their conversations that at some points you just want them to get over with it. But watching them navigate through a new territory is more than fun.
The Sex scenes are delivered beautifully. They're sensual without getting vulgar, and that is something I really loved about this book too.
Honestly this is an amazing book, and a must read.

Blog Tour: Supernatural freak

12:14 PM 0 Comments
Hello Loves!

We're so happy that the world didn't end yesterday and we get to be part of this tour!

When paranormal expert Robyn Wise is offered an outrageous sum of money to cure a boy who is turning into a dead tree, she's very sceptical. A politician ready to pay that much to make his son stop growing branches instead of hair? Come on! She's more likely to be abducted by aliens. This is a trap. Or much worse. And, of course, it's much worse.

The child is turning into a dark portal, created by a powerful entity determined to absorb Fairyland's power. This means that not only queen Titania and her court are in danger, but the very balance of the magic fluxes.

Robyn'd rather stick a pencil in her own eye but. to learn how to destroy the portal, she has to sneak into the Wizardry Council, a place full of wizards who are hiding something—though it’s certainly not their dislike of her.

There, she discovers a terrible secret that could help to overthrow Fairyland's enemies for good, but puts her in the midst of an ancient and deadly war, and not as a bystander, but as the main target

*Thanks to the author for the e-copy to review*

Our thoughts:

If we are being honest, it was hard to get into the book at first, not because it has a slow beginning, actually it starts in the middle of a big problem... what best way to start your night than with a werewolf trying to eat you, right?

But because (and I'm not sure this is the way the book is formatted or my computer was being a pain) the book is just one bog block of text... I just feel like some parts or sentences would have been delivered with more impact if they were, lets say... in a different paragraph or at least have more distance between each paragraph... it was hard to keep track of which line I was when everything was the same.
Another little thing was the language, which is not a problem really, it's just that I'm not used to it and the book is set in England, the author is British... yeah you get the picture...

Robyn is a great main character. She lives with her uncle, 2 geeks, a dog and a ghost.
You get how full of different elements this book is, right? From werewolf to computer geeks, ghost to shamans... It has it all, so if you love paranormal books, you'll probably enjoy the variety in Supernatural Freak.

Will, the ghost, is also a good character... some kind of father to her in many ways. He always takes care of Robyn and helps her clean up after her jobs. I love that Louise give him magic... he's not your typical ghost that can only throw stuff around and walk through walls... He can do much more like make a super comfy bed out of nowhere!

The book has many twist and turns that will keep you entertained.
It's full of mystery and paanormal elements, so I'd enjoy that very much

I wish there was more romance into it, but as part of a series, maybe I'll have to wait a bit more for it...

All in all, it was a great read and I'd love to see how it continues!

Hey Loves!!

We're here today to bring you The Stone Guardian and it's amazing author, Theresa McClinton
Plus keep reading for the Raffle with awesome prices below!

When myth becomes reality, reality becomes a nightmare.

Like any other teenager in America, Ashley just wants a normal life. But growing up in an orphanage for the insane is anything but normal. After endless therapy and increasing medication, her nightmares have only gotten worse.

Probably because they’re not nightmares.

When Ashley’s mysteriously abducted, she finds a reality even less normal than the orphanage. And she discovers something else—she’s no ordinary orphan. Faced with enemies thought to only exist in fairy tales, Ashley discovers she possesses a powerful Maya bloodline. She’s the daughter of an ancient Maya Guardian, whose duty is to protect the Stone of Muuk’ich, an enchanted relic blessed by the gods. But first she must get it back from Sarian, a power-hungry demigod who slaughtered the last guardian—Ashley’s mother. Without the stone, all will be lost.

When she meets Arwan, a hot Belizean time bender, his delicious olive skin and dark eyes make her feel a little less alone. But his gentle whispers and reassuring touch might not be all they seem. How can she balance love and duty when it’s up to her to prevent the rising of the underworld? Especially when the guy she loves might be its crown prince…

About the Author:

A long time enthusiast of things that go bump in the night, Theresa started her writing career as a journalism intern—possibly the least creative writing field out there. After her first semester at a local newspaper, she washed her hands of press releases and features articles to delve into the whimsical world of young adult paranormal romance.

Since then, Theresa has gotten married, had three terrific kids, moved to central Ohio, and was repeatedly guilt tripped into adopting a menagerie of animals that are now members of the family. But don’t be fooled by her domesticated appearance. Her greatest love is travel. Having stepped foot on the soil of over a dozen countries, traveled to sixteen U.S. states—including an extended seven-year stay in Kodiak, Alaska—she is anything but settled down. But wherever life brings her, she will continue to weave tales of adventure and love with the hope her stories will bring joy and inspiration to her readers

The Immortal Circus Book Blast

6:18 PM 0 Comments

Ladies and gentlemen,

It gives me great pleasure to introduce to you a show unlike any you've seen before.

Within the walls of THE IMMORTAL CIRCUS, you'll be amazed by acts of tragic romance, seductive magic, and maybe even a little murder.

After all, loves, nothing is what it seems under this big top. Not even your innocent little heroine, Vivienne.

Released every two weeks through the Kindle Serials program, we'll be sure to keep you on the edge of your seat, right up to the breathtaking conclusion that will have you begging for more. But don't worry, loves—you'll delight in the anticipation.

I personally guarantee it.

Follow our spectacle across four blogs representing the two Faerie Courts. There will be exclusive interviews and artwork, backstage reviews and more from the author, A.R. Kahler—and trust me when I say, he knows the circus well. Pick a side, promote the show, and compete for your chance to win a spectacular prize of circus goods.

And my eternal love, of course.

Trust me when I say, when the final curtain falls, no one and no thing will ever be the same. But let's not get ahead of ourselves. The show's just beginning.

Are you ready to run away forever?

~Mab

Ringleader, Fashionista, and Queen of the Winter Court

Choose Your Court...

***

About THE IMMORTAL CIRCUS

Murdered contortionists aren’t exactly what Vivienne signed up for when she ran away to join the circus. But like most things under the big top, nothing is what it seems. With a past she can't quite remember, Vivienne finds that running away forever might not be as appealing as it once sounded—especially not when she realizes the devilishly attractive ringleader Mab is the Faerie Queen of legend…and that she and the rest of the troupe are locked in an age-old rivalry between the otherworldly Courts.

Aided by her friends Kingston—a feisty stage magician whose magic is quickly stealing her heart—and his smart-ass assistant Melody, Vivienne finds herself racing against the clock to discover the culprit behind a series of deaths that should be impossible. However, the answer she seeks might reveal more about her own bloody past—and future—than she bargains for.

The show's just beginning.

Step right up… GOODREADS, AMAZON, FACEBOOK, WEBSITE

Troll or Derby Blog Tour

1:00 AM 3 Comments

In Troll Or Derby, fifteen-year-old Roller Deb is singled out by town bullies for both her skates, and for being different. When her popular homecoming queen of a sister is kidnapped by a scuzzy drug dealer, Deb must flee the trailer park in which she's grown up, and rescue her. Along the way, Deb becomes enmeshed in the magical realm of trolls and fairies, and the blood-thirsty version of roller derby at which these beings excel. But spending too much time among the fairies comes with a price. Will Deb choose to save her sister, with the aid of a mysterious troll? Or will she be lost to the lures of roller derby, and the blonde temptress April, forever?

This book was different for sure. The Troll is the hero (a lovely twist by the way!) and the Fairy is a roller skater you wants to join a Derby team! (whip it, anyone?)
The whole idea for fairies not being the sweet little thing you're used to from Disney and the Troll who's the good guy give you a great turn from most fae's book
It really well writen. The chapters change POVs between the main character, giving you more to the story than just Deb trying to find her way in the world she knows and the world she just find out about.

Deb is a 15 year old girl who lives in a trailer park with her drunk mother and her perfect sister. She's bullied over her love for skate and because she's gay. I think it was a nice touch from the author that she was. It gives more variety to the reader. But for that fact in particular, this book isn't a romance. Deb and harlow's relationship is friends only.
Harlow is a Troll who lives away from everyone, after his parents died. He's Deb's protector but just as Deb he doesn't remember much about their childhood and what their parents planned for them.
When he finds Deb, and he learns who she is, he starts to remember and helps her to find her sister and keep her safe from his family.

I must say it was nice not having a love triangle in this book. And the villians are good. You hate them, they are evil and they love it. The Trolls make a drug that they sell to faes and humans alike. They kidnap people and eat them. They are what you'd expect from a troll.

I think the style of the book would be better for younger readers, however the abuse, the drugs and other subjects make it more suitable for older teens.

The plot is well developed, but I wished there was more to the characters. Harlow's POVs were better to relate to than Deb's.

Review

I was having trouble wondering where to start with this great book. And the I read this and said.. yeah, no better way to describe it!

“Welcome to Star Grove.” I shout over the music. “The Land of the Intense
and Poverty-stricken, where the adolescents roam free without sober
parental supervision and try to start fights wherever they can.”

You’re in for a rush of adrenaline. A little secret that will drive you crazy, wondering what happened that night.
Seriously, I wanted to scream to someone to tell me what happened!
And a LOT of sexual tension

"He knows what I’m about to say—he always does. He is my best friend, my
soul mate. In a perfect world, full of roses and sunshine we’d be together, but
this world is full of broken homes, drunken fathers, and mothers who give up
easily.”

This book gets you you hooked right from the start. Ella and Micha’s story is THAT interesting. So yeah, go ordering your copy now, and keep reading. it gets better!

I could go on and on about Micha and his super hotness... but lets Ella gives you a little about how he looks.

“Micha has always been stunningly beautiful in a way that
makes artists’ hands ache. He’s dressed in a red plaid shirt, dark jeans, and a
pair of black boots. His lips are full and ornamented with a silver loop and
his dirty blonde hair has a slight wave to it. His skin is like porcelain and
his aqua eyes carry more than I can handle.”

And the best part? He has a lip ring. A. LIP. RING. And tattoos.
Excuse me while I drool.

They both have a complicated past. Their lives are a mess. And without each other, things seem like they settled down a little...

Ella has left her attitude behind. She’s a nice girl now. She has good grades and nice friends.
Micha stop drinking altogether.
But being back in town again, next to each other... all control slips.

Lila... wow, she was a great character. And in a way, is the one that makes you discover all the mysteries. Lila knows good girl Ella, and when they get to Ella’s house, and she’s faced with her past, she’s curious to know what her friend has been hiding all along.
Ethan is another great character. He's Micha's best friend and he's worried about him. He wants the best for his friend and maybe, Ella is not as good for him as everyone else thought.

Micha wants her best friend and the girl he loves back, but Ella fought a lot to make herself a new person, and being back is about to tear everything apart, and maybe this time she won't be able to help herself.

Honestly, I loved this book from page 1. I read in one sitting, hating bathroom and food breaks with passion.  Is the kind of book that seems to short and makes you wanna read it all over again. And again.

Both characters have a lot of layers, passion and mystery. I love them.
And this book has everything to keep you going: sweet moments, hot moments, please-make-out-already moments (we love those, really), a few I'm-at-the-edge-of-my-seat ones too.
If you like a complicated love story, a badass girl, a super hot guy, and an awesome plot line, yuou'll love this book.

“When it all comes down to it,
it’s just me and her against the world. Always has been.”

The ending was perfect, but I need more...
I can't wait for the next book in the series!
