Pepper Watson has lost everything–her job, her fiancé, and the future she’d so carefully planned. Now she’s back at Wishing Bridge trying to figure out her next step. Her new plan does not include the ever-so-sexy Ben Cooper. Nope. She’s getting her life back on track, and getting out of this little town as fast as possible.

Ben Cooper is doing his best to build his business and help his parents. The last thing he needs is the distraction that is Pepper Watson. She might be prickly every time he’s in her presence, but he sees another side of her. The side that has set aside her dreams to help her sisters. And then there’s the fact that kissing her is pretty much the best thing that’s ever happened to him.

He’s putting down roots. She’s running away. It’s going to take more than a wish for these two to find their happily ever after.

This book is the last part in a series, but you can totally read it as a stand alone. I'm really excited about reading the previous two.

Pepper came home because her entire life is crashing down. She lost her job and her fiancé, and what is worst, he made it so she can't find a new job. She's there with one mission, see her sister getting married and find a new way to make her life plan come true.

Ben Cooper is building the life he wanted. He has a growing bussiness, and her parents to help. He's here to stay at the farm at the town he loves.

While the two of them have known each other their entire life, they haven't really shared a lot. I loved watching the two of them come together. I love the background the author gives you to show you how their relationship grows and shifts through the years but most of the feelings develop during the book.

Pepper is a control freak and Cooper is the laid back guy. They balance each other out. Natural charisma and bussiness knowledge coming together to make them achive their goals.

This is a great story of enemies to lovers. The secondary characters, a lovely touch for the readers of the series and honestly, I loved their input to the story. The town's people was great, the author makes you feel like part of the town and like you know them all.
The perfect read for a weekend. Sweet, funny and full of swoon moments complete with grand gestures.

About the author

Amanda Ashby was born in Australia but now lives in New Zealand where she writes romance, young adult and middle grade books. She also works in a library, owns far too many vintage tablecloths and likes to delight her family by constantly rearranging the furniture.

She has a degree in English and Journalism from the University of Queensland and is married with two children. Her debut book was nominated for a Romantic Times Reviewers Choice award, and her first young adult book was listed by the New York Public Libraryʼs Stuff for the Teen Age. Because she’s mysterious she also writes middle grade books under the name, Catherine Holt and hopes that all this writing won’t interfere with her Netflix schedule.

She also runs writing workshops and loves to speak to people about Buffy (er, she means writing). See her Website for more information.
