Craved by an Alpha
Craved by an Alpha (Eternal Mates Romance Series Book 5)
Felicity Heaton
Having turned his back on his snow leopard pride, Cavanaugh has been counting the days until he’s free of a role he never wanted—one that separated him from his fated female and stands between him and the future he craves with her.
Just days from the night he will finally be free to be with the low-ranking beauty who stole his heart, she walks back into his life and threatens to destroy everything he’s worked towards in the five long years they’ve been apart.
Eloise has travelled across continents searching for the male who was once her best friend and so much more to her, but was now her pride’s true alpha. Desperate to fulfil a promise to her kin to save them from the tyrant he left in charge, she convinces Cavanaugh to return to his pride, but as they journey to Bhutan, doubts bloom and old feelings resurface, tearing her between duty and her deepest desires and impossible dreams.
Will Eloise be able to resist the burning need that Cavanaugh reignites in her and remember her place in the pride? And can Cavanaugh find a way to save his kin and claim the future he craves with the woman he loves?
Discover more about Craved by an Alpha HERE

Craved by an Alpha is a hot emotional read that will keep you glue to page from the start,

We met Cavanaugh in the previous book, Hunted by a Jaguar, and although his part there was really small I was super interested in his story. I just knew his love life was going to be great and let me tell you that I wasn't wrong!

Cavanaugh left his pride 10 years ago and with that the woman he loves but when his plans of going back for her are interrupted by Eloise herself he isn't so sure that was the right choice.

I love how different this book was from the previous ones, Cavanaugh knows she's his fated female and he isn't trying to run or fight it and in a way Eloise isn't either so the whole dancing around the bond is out of the story and in it's place is something much more deeper in an emotional sense. Both of them were raised in the pride rues and customs so they aren't fighting their feelings, they are obeying the rules.

I loved this book from page one, I think it was because the characters already had a past and a relationship so the feelings were so strong and real from the start. There was no slow building in this book, Eloise and Cavanaugh have deep feelings for each other and are just trying to find a balance in their onw conflicting emotions and maybe a way to forgive themselves for the desitions they both took in the past.
At some points it was frustrating to see why they didn't even try to work it out but reading more about them in each page you come to understand both their reasoning for them

Felicity Heaton did it again with Craved by an Alpha. She gave us a new story with new elements and still kept the storyline and voices of the characters and the series. I can't wait to read more of this.

BlurredLines

Once burned…

Finding my fiancée naked on my couch might’ve been a good thing, if her ex-boyfriend hadn’t been with her. For the past eight years I’ve been a witness to the power of true love, but after getting burned I’d decided there wasn’t any hope for me finding it for myself. Until I met Noelle Brandt in a hotel bar. Maybe it wasn’t the most romantic meeting, but the moment I met her I knew I had to have her. The more I learn about her, the more I know I’ll do whatever it takes to keep her.

Twice shy…

I’d already found the love of my life, but I’d lost that love forever. And I’d been lost ever since. But one night a wounded man makes all of that go away. He makes me laugh, live, and feel alive. When he tells me he has no intention of letting me go, I finally begin to believe in the power of true love again. That is, until I find out who he really is…and by then, it’s far too late to correct the mistakes we’ve already made. By the time we both know the truth, the lines have already been blurred beyond recognition.

Blurred Lines by Jen McLaughlin will be releasing January 26th, but first we have some exclusive content to share. Review: With Every Heartbeat by Melody Grace

With Every Heartbeat by Melody Grace

Rome. The city of young lovers, dark secrets, and intoxicating new desire…

I thought I knew what I wanted in life. I thought my destiny was set. Then I met him, and everything changed.

Raphael is bold, passionate, and seductive. He sees something in me I never dreamed possible, and now he's determined to show me a world beyond rules -- a dance without limits. I want to trust him, but I'm scared. Because I know once I fall, there'll be no going back.

An innocent dancer. A mysterious stranger. As Annalise is drawn deeper into the sensual delights of Rome, she'll question everything she believed about her future. But with opening night looming, can she find the strength to risk it all? And will she be forced to choose between her one true love, ballet, and the new passion in her heart?

** This book contains adult content. 17+ **

I Loved this book so so much!

“That’s the thing about dance, it’s beyond words. The movement, the feeling of getting the steps just right: when the painstaking choreography fits together so perfectly, I can’t even feel the individual tiny actions, just the gorgeous flow as I lose myself completely in the story and the music, falling into another world until I live and breathe and exist only as a rush of motion; powerful, focused.
Free.”

That’s the thing about reading too. And it’s an universal feeling.

Annalise is a ballerina in Rome to improve her dancing. Raphael is a street dancer with burning passion. When these two meet and their worlds collide fireworks explode and they might not be ready to face the consequences.
I loved the relationship between them, because sometimes you are lucky enough to find that person who can understand you completely. That feels with you, that person who just knows… and that is what is like for Raphael and Annalise. They are kindred spirits. Soulmates.

They have similar insecurities with dancing and they see the greatness in the other. They push each other to be better, to believe they can do it and more than anything to fight for what they want.

The way the relationship develops between them and how they how Annalise tries to hold on to her ballerina dream while the pull for Raphael and his wild and unstructured dancing is stronger.

This is the first book I read by Melody Grace but it won’t be the last one!

Review: Hunted by a Jaguar

Hunted by a Jaguar
Hunted by a Jaguar (Eternal Mates Romance Series Book 4)
Felicity Heaton

Failure is not an option when your life is on the line, but things take a dangerous turn when she crosses paths with a handsome and mysterious male on the hunt for the same artefact—a male who declares she is his eternal mate.
Can Iolanthe resist Kyter’s wicked allure and find the artefact before he does? Can Kyter face his demons and win the heart of his fated female? Or will this deadly game of cat and mouse claim both of their lives?
Read a first chapter preview of Hunted by a Jaguar HERE

While it starts off sadder than expected, the emotions are so powerful they pull you in and don't let you go until the end.

From the previous books you know Kyter, a Jaguar shifter who owns Underworld, a bar for all the supernatural creatures in London. He came off as a great character and I was really happy to know this book was about him!

Kyter left everything behind to start fresh in London. He left his Pride (Pack) after years of abuse and hate from them for beign different and now he goes back after his mother dies. After loosing the only person who loved him for who he was he sets to find the murderer of his mother, a demon who is also his father.

Iolanthe is a bounty hunter after the key to sumon a powerful demon. And nothing will stop her from getting it first.

Kyter and Iolanthe meet while looking for this artefact and they don't start with the right foot. Iolanthe doesn't see him as her mate and more than that she is not interested in responding to a male. Kyter can't stop himself from wanting to claim her.

These two have the fireworks going from early on in the book and I really love reading how they got to know each other, slowly and tenderly. I think it was great that they both gave it a chance by agreing to not try to control the other.

I personally love how Iolanthe was such a powerfull character, not just in character but phisically. In a way she IS stronger than Kyter as well as MUCH older than him, but he goes along with it.

When both their lives are in danger is great to see how much they are willing to sacrifice for each other.

I also love seeing Bleu in this and how close he and Kyter really are despite they not showing it. Kyter picks up Bleu's pain right away.

I particulary loved the ending. I think it was a great way of showing how much Kyter grows in the book and how Iolanthe learns to trust him completely.

Review: You'll Think of Me by Lucia Franco

You'll Think of Me by Lucia Franco
Published: August 26th, 2014
Book provided by the author for review

Luke Jackson.

With his thick southern drawl and seductive charm, Luke is the country boy everyone adores. He has his future mapped out, but his plans with Olivia are suddenly derailed when she makes a decision that blindsides him, changing the path they both envisioned.

As Luke struggles to keep everything in check during a difficult time in his life, he must put his trust in the one person who broke it to begin with. The last time they saw each other, Olivia busted his heart wide open, turning him into the man he is today.

When Olivia returns to her roots, just like Luke said she would, he is shocked for more reasons than one. Nine years have passed since they've seen each other, and when their roads collide unexpectedly, Luke can only push his worry and misgivings away for so long.

Things are different now—they are strangers—and the rope that once bound Olivia's heart to South Fork, Georgia is pulling her back in, forcing her to remember how it used to be all those years ago.

Lucia Franco’s debut novel is fantastic. It captured me from the start and I was looking forward to every moment I went back to reading.

Olivia, or Livy to her friends, is a strong character. She’s not afraid to go after what she wants and she won’t apologize to anyone for it. She’s a doctor and she fought for it most of her life.

Luke is more caring and sensitive in this matter. He puts his family first. While he loves going on tours and singing he’s a family guy and you can see that with every choice he makes.

The book opens on a heartbreaking scene: 9 years ago, Livy left Luke to study medicine in NYC, not even bothering to tell him until the last minute. This was something I hated about her. While I respect her decision to leave and maybe even her need to do it, she had a relationship with Luke that went all the way to their childhood, so why didn’t she thought about him? Why never include him in such an important choice when she wanted to be with him for the rest of her life?

Why did she have to break my heart in page 1?!

So yeah, as you can see I didn’t take that well BUT if Ms. Franco managed to put me all teary eyed in the first scene of the book I figured this book was good and I wasn’t wrong!

After that horrible night where Livy broke everyone’s heart, the story moves 9 years in the future - a.k.a. present – to Luke being a famous singer where I ignore he sings country music and pretend he’s a rock star and Livy a neurologist who just move back to the south. When an unpleasant situation throws them back together, this two can’t stop the feelings and memories of what they had.

You’ll Think of Me is a very powerful book emotionally. The two main characters go up and down and face a few ghosts along that will have you smiling and crying all in one. It is story about first love and how, no matter what, if it’s meant to be it’ll happen. You’ll Think of Me is about forgiveness and redemption, how you can let go of the past and mistakes and make things right.

I fell in love, got my heart broken, someone stepped on my poor broken heart and then I fell in love again.

Ms. Franco managed to keep the Present story line perfectly in synch with the flashback chapters that explained how Luke and Livy broke up. And somehow, I didn’t get lost in the POV changes and times, so she did a good job with it! This is a great book and I’m looking forward to read more from this author.

Excerpt•

Natti awoke and sat bolt upright in the bed, gasping for breath. Her heart raced and a headache flared right between her temples. The nightmare seemed incredibly real, Sean’s eyes and the dagger ingrained in her mind’s eye. Looking around the little hotel room, she pulled the sheets closer to her chest. She felt cold and alone in the queen-size bed, which only heightened her lingering fears. Everything appeared ominous in the dark; the shadows seemed to slither along the walls. These hauntings were eating her alive from the inside out.

Her pulse pounding wildly, she glanced at the second bed. Seth’s chest rose and fell under the blankets. He looked so peaceful, and though the idea seemed wrong, she knew she would feel much safer curled up in Seth’s arms, like back in the hospital when her friend, Wanda, had been drugged. She pictured herself resting her head on his chest, his warmth easing her back to sleep.

She knew she shouldn’t for a number of reasons, the top being he had the reputation of sleeping with half the girls at Setemple High School. And if it was true he had a power as mind-bending as a drug, then those girls, most likely, weren’t doing it of their own free will. The thought sickened her, yet it didn’t deter her need for his comfort. Was she becoming addicted, just like he had said? The Ma ‘at feather or whatever “blessing” she had was supposed to protect her, but if it was, she couldn’t tell.

If I even have a “blessing” at all.

She pulled her knees up to her chest, wishing Seth had brought Anubis, the stuffed jackal he had given her at the Pharaoh’s Festival. It had become her most precious keepsake and a source of comfort when she felt lost and confused. She also wished Seth hadn’t surrendered the locket, which she never finished translating. At least that would have occupied her mind for a while as she tried to piece the family secret together. Except she already knew what the secret was, supposedly: the location of the secret name of Ra. And now it was in the hands of the cult Seth keeps referring to as the “Sons of Set” or the “Sons.”

The darkness seemed to continue to press in on Natti, making her restless. Wrestling with her conscience, she slipped out of her bed, lifted Seth’s covers, and crawled in. She was quiet and careful, trying not to wake him. Finally able to place her head on his pillow, she snuggled up next to him.

Her body jerked when his arm draped over her. “You have no idea how often I’ve dreamed of this moment,” Seth whispered in a drowsy voice.

He moved closer, slipping one arm under to support her head and shifting the other around her waist. His hand slid under her “Keep Calm and Carry On” nightshirt to massage her spine, his nimble fingers rotating in small circles over her skin. Natti snorted softly, secretly loving his touch and hating herself for it. The feel of his flesh was smooth as silk and every lean muscle flexed steadily while he moved his hand up behind her neck. Her body warmed, completely aware of every place their skin made contact. Thank the lord for her nightshirt and the Calvin Klein pajama bottoms Seth slept in. There was hardly any space between them, and yet, he managed to pull her even closer.

“So to what do I owe the pleasure?” Seth asked.

“I couldn’t sleep,” Natti breathed, her galloping heart drummed in her ears.

“Hmm.” A smile pulled at Seth’s perfect lips. “So you crawled in looking for some company?”

“Well, I would have stayed in my own bed, but you forgot to pack Anubis.”

A laugh rumbled in Seth’s throat. “What is it with girls and stuffed animals?”

“Oy, you gave him to me,” Natti shot back while slapping her hand against his chest. “And he’s been providing comfort when I need it ever since. But since you left him behind, you’ll just have to take his place.”

“I guess I can live with that.” Seth stroked the back of her neck, sending goose bumps over her skin.

The room was quiet. With no sight and no sound, Natti was only left with her heightened sense of touch and smell. She memorized Seth’s embrace; every little shift of his muscles and every little movement of his fingertips. The gentle heat that took her breath away slowly radiated through her system. She felt closer to Seth right now than she had ever felt with anyone in her life. Yet she hardly knew him. She knew who he was and even what he was, just nothing really about him. What music did he like? What kind of films did he watch? What was his favorite past time? Well, actually, she already had a sense what his answer would be to that last question just by knowing his reputation. Still, she wanted to know more. Rattling her brain for a conversation starter, she asked the simplest question she could think of.

“What’s your favorite color?”

He groaned in response and crinkled his brow. “Is that what it would have taken to get you into bed with me? Knowing my favorite color? We could have fixed that long ago.”

“No,” Natti hissed. “This is just a conversation. You know, something normal people do.”

“I know what a conversation is.” Seth’s perfect grin glistened in the dark. “There’s just other things I’d rather be doing in the middle of the night, like sleeping or . . .”

Natti’s cheeks burned when his hand moved south. “Bloody hell, Seth!” She pushed his hand back to the small of her back. “I’m talking about things like your favorite class subject, when your birthday is—”

“What’s my favorite color?” Seth mocked with a hidden smile, his exhaustion weighing in his voice.

“What about you? What’s your favorite color then?”

Taken aback by his abrupt turnaround, Natti sputtered her answer. “Red.”

“Hmm.” Seth fell silent, his eyelids drooping a bit. Natti shifted, thinking he had dozed off. She closed her eyes, his warmth gently pulling her into sleep.

“History. March fifteenth. Black,” Seth finally responded.

“Wait—What?” Natti jerked, now fully awake again.

“The answers to your questions.” Seth’s eyes opened, taking her in while they laid together in the dark. His hand skimmed her hair, pulling a lock toward him. “My favorite subject is history. My birthday is March fifteenth. And my favorite color is black, like the color of your hair.”

A smile pulled at Natti’s lips. “Is black even a color?”

“Hey, don’t knock it.” He paused, looking deep into her eyes. “I’ll admit, though, lately I’ve also become enamored with a unique shade of purple.”

Natti swallowed a lump forming in her throat. Seth leaned his forehead to hers, their noses touching. Even in the dark, his gaze captured her, drawing her full attention.

“You know how tempting it is to kiss you right now?” he said, an intense, fiery tingling sensation growing strong throughout her body.

Natti could barely speak as she melted into the sheets. She really wanted to kiss him. He was too tempting with his heat, his eyes, and the feel of his body conforming to hers.

A sudden flashback to the halls of Setemple High caused her to hold back and bite her lower lip. It had been her first kiss with Seth. The very thought of it still coursed fire through her veins. It had only been a distraction. A method he used to pickpocket her grandmother’s letter before abandoning her and leaving her in the hands of his friend, Ky.

“Don’t push it,” Natti mumbled. “Not after you used the last one to pinch from me.”

His eyes searched hers, his voice deep with pain. “You really don’t remember then.”

Natti tried to think of what he was referring to. “Remember what?”

Seth attempted a charming grin, but it faltered. “Never mind. It wasn’t important.”

He lightened his touch, withdrawing a bit. The sensations that were running rapid finally eased. She watched Seth’s expression fill with disappointment, making her wonder what she had forgotten that had been clearly special to him.

She slipped her hand along his well-formed abs and over his chest. She could feel him shiver. Goose bumps appeared over his skin. Her own body also reacted to the touch, her skin prickling with little sparks. She froze when he caught her gaze, desire shining in his eyes like a beacon in the night. Reality struck, and it struck hard. She wanted him too.

“Maybe I made a mistake.” Natti’s body quivered, and she moved back. What had she been thinking, crawling into a guy’s bed? In a freaking hotel no less! What kind of impression does that give? “I shouldn’t have come over here. I’m sorry.”

Seth strengthened his grip, his voice tight with emotion. “No. It’s fine. Stay.”

A strange calm replaced her abrupt urge to run. She looked at Seth, feeling the tingle of magic under her skin. She was scared. She stupidly crawled right into his element, and she knew in her heart she was too weak to resist any advance. His fingers reached up and stroked her cheek. With the warm breeze from his touch, her excitement and fear were whisked away, leaving her to feel only a bliss that affected her very being. She lowered her body back into Seth’s arms. Her muscles relaxed into his embrace. She gave into the power, unsure if she was staying of her own free will or if he was controlling her actions. Either way, it was too late. She had stepped into his web, just like the oracle at the Pharaoh Festival had warned. But maybe if she kept him talking, nothing ominous would come of it.

Natti’s voice came out flustered when she finally spoke. “We used to talk about you. My mates and I, that is. Back in school.”

Seth perked up. “Really? What about?”

“Oh.” Natti tried to be sly with her words while thinking about Jen, Kevin, and Wanda. She missed them all very much. Even more than some of her friends back in London. “Different things.”

Seth raised a brow and smiled. “Like how devilishly handsome and extremely charming I am?”

“Actually, we couldn’t decide if you were a vampire, a werewolf, or a fae.”

“Say what?” Seth jerked. “What plebs have you been talking to?”

Natti rolled her eyes. “Well, you can’t really blame us. With your looks and how you charm most of the teachers and students, Jen figured you had to be paranormal.”

“And what did you think? Did you think I was a vampire or a werewolf?”

“No. I only thought you were a spoiled rotten rich kid whose only charm was his father’s money.” A malicious grin spread on her lips. “And I still stand by it.”

Seth crinkled his nose, smiled, and shoved her back slightly. Natti burst into laughter; her first real laugh since the day of the fire. Her body released all its tension in one fell swoop. The high was addicting, her adrenalin soaring to new heights. Finally, as her body became weary and calmed, she could still hear Seth laughing beside her. A laugh that was as soothing as Big Ben chiming out the time, giving her a sense of home. Natti basked in the sound until Seth abruptly faded from sight and Sean’s cold eyes flashed before her. She gasped and pushed away as the icy cold emptiness burned her insides.

“Natti.” She felt Seth pull at her waist. “Natti, stop!”

Sinful Rewards #4 (A Billionaires and Bikers Novella) by Cynthia Sax
Published:  October 14th, 2014
Publisher: Avon red Impulse

Four years ago, Bee Carter left her tiny hometown, escaping her tormenters. She concealed her tarnished reputation under a good-girl persona, hiding her history from Nicolas, her strong and silent billionaire; Hawke, her tattooed bad-boy biker; and Cyndi, her man-crazy best friend.

Today, she's returning home … and she's not alone. Some of her deepest, darkest secrets will be revealed. Trust will be tested. Clothing and inhibitions will be discarded. Bee and her hometown will never be the same.

When her past and her present collide, will any of Bee's relationships survive?

This book is a great follow up on the previous one.
Bee is on her way back to her hometown, to visit and help her mom and Hawke decides to tag along with her.

Bee has been running from that place for a long time, and from all the people there that never treat her right but with Hake at her side things migt be different this time.

I loved seeing Bee in her natural enviroment not trying to be something else, and for once not focusing so much on her "goal" of landing a rich man.
Hawke totally melts your heart being a sweetheart to Bee's mom and friends and helping her with everything.

I really can't wait to see what is next.

EXCERPT

Silence stretches. I look upward. A tic of emotion pulses high on Hawke’s cheek, his eyes stormy and his body hard. He wants me to accept his lie, but I can’t believe in a man who has no reason to stay.

“Every time we part, you’ll think I’ve left you, won’t you?” he asks, his voice sinfully deep.

My fingers curl. “Why would you stay?” I counter. Why would anyone stay who had a choice?

Hawke grits his teeth. There’s another long pause. I brace myself for the pain that I know is coming. He’ll tell me I’m too much hassle for a one-night stand. Then he’ll ride out of the city and never return. I shouldn’t care. He’ll leave me eventually, and the timing shouldn’t make a difference. I cross my arms in front of my stomach, hugging my body, trying to protect my foolish heart.

“You’re gloriously stubborn, love.” Hawke sucks air through his teeth, holds the breath for four heart-pounding moments, and exhales. “Come here.” He slides his right hand into the front pocket of his faded blue jeans.

I step closer to him, curious.

“I want you to keep these for me.” Hawke holds out his fist. A silver ball chain is wrapped around his scarred fingers.

I extend my palm. His massive hand hovers above mine.

I wait and wait and wait. Hawke doesn’t release the chain. I survey his savage countenance. His lips are flat. His jaw juts. He doesn’t want to do this.

“This isn’t necessary,” I tell him.

“It is. You need this.” He opens his fist, dropping the ball chain and two dog tags into the palm of my hand, the metal warmed by his skin. Information—a Social Security number, the words “no preference,”

USMC, and other letters—is embossed on the oval forms. I don’t recognize the first or last name.

“Are these yours?” I ask. He shared that Hawke wasn’t his first name. Is Masters, the last name he gave me, not real either?

“No, they’re not mine.” Hawke rubs the barbed wire tattoo encircling his right bicep, the vigorous motion reddening his arm.

I tilt my head, studying him. Why would he give me someone else’s dog tags? Our gazes meet and lock and I inhale sharply, reading the answer in his pain-ravaged eyes. “They belonged to Rock, didn’t they?”

 “Yeah.”
