Some women are bad. Some women are a bad idea. The best ones are both…
A former Black Ops assassin, “Lucky” Landon has had more near-misses than a man should ever have. Now he’s out of that business and settling into the simple life in his small hometown. So the last thing he ever expected was to end up at gunpoint. Or that the woman holding the gun would be his best friend’s little sister and Lucky’s on-again/off-again lover.
Taylor Elliott is Trouble, and she likes it that way. And seeing Lucky again? Well, he’s been her dirty little secret for the past few years and everyone knows that secrets in a small town are almost impossible to keep. But Taylor has bigger problems on her plate. Like the local mob boss who wants her dead.
And right now the only thing standing between Trouble and disaster is a hottie named Lucky…

Lucky is back in town tired of working for the government and determined to buy his father's farm and settle down to live a quiet life.
Taylor is back in town to help pack up her family's belongings before they sell the house.
But neither of them was counting in seeing each other again... especially not sharing a house for three weeks...

His Southern Temptation is a sexy, sweet and intriguing read.
Lucky is all you want in a man. He has a dark past he's trying to forget, but he's determined and boy does he know how to charm a woman. He's equal parts funny, intense, sweet and HOT.
Taylor on the other hand is more of a wild child. She's not looking for marriage, just a few weeks of fun between good friends and perfect lovers while they're on the same place. But Lucky wants more... and he's gonna make this three weeks worth it.

I can't tell you how emotional this book is. Taylor and Lucky will break your heart, have you screaming in frustration and believing in love all in the same scene.
In a way they do want the same: Each other. But they also want to go after their dreams, and that is in different states... let's not forget that Taylor has a bit of commitment issues so yeah... heartbreak is near and constant.

The pull they feel for each other is intense, and the way they fit together feels as natural as breathing.
Ms. Covington really makes a wonderful job bringing this wild and sweet characters to life and making them real in the pages. The emotions are so well written that you can really connect to the book.
The pace is great, with lots of action both in the bed and out thanks to the mob going after Taylor. I really liked that touch to the story, it give Taylor and Lucky a perfect opportunity to decide what to do. The secondary characters add in a funny way to the story.. and sometimes they don't really help them but they make it entertaining.

I'm really looking forward to the other books in this series.
